Host. Healer. Helper.
“What we believe determines how we grieve.” — Kristy LaMariana
At Corrales Grief Spa, our mission is simple but profound: to create a safe, sacred space where people can process grief, reconnect with themselves, and remember the deeper truths of who they are. We believe that grief is not something to be fixed—it is something to be witnessed, honored, and gently integrated.
Our vision is to shift the cultural narrative around grief and loss by offering soulful, personalized support rooted in compassion, presence, and spiritual wisdom. This is a sanctuary for the tender, transformative work of healing. A place to rest, release, and remember that you are not alone.
YOUR HOST
Kristy is the heart and soul of Corrales Grief Spa—a wise, nurturing presence whose life’s work has been to walk beside others through life’s most sacred thresholds: loss, transition, awakening, and renewal.
Meet Kristy LaMariana

With over three decades of experience in the healing arts, Kristy is more than a therapist—she is a grief muse, a soul guide, and a gentle witness to the human experience. She holds a Master of Science in Art Psychotherapy, and has studied Psychology, Sociology, and Expressive Arts extensively. Kristy is a certified yoga teacher, a Reiki Master in both Shamanic and Angelic lineages, a certified Ericksonian Clinical Hypnotherapist, and a trained Past Life Regressionist. She has studied Mandala Assessment, Sand Tray Therapy, and worked as a hospice chaplain and bereavement counselor. She is also an ordained non-denominational interfaith minister who officiates both weddings and memorial services.
Kristy has studied with shamans in both New York and New Mexico, trained in firewalking and mind-over-matter practices with Peggy Dylan, and was privately mentored by Dr. Raymond Moody, the pioneer of near-death studies and the creator of the psychomanteum—now a central healing space at Corrales Grief Spa.
Her approach blends clinical knowledge with spiritual insight, holding space for every part of the human journey—grief and joy, death and rebirth, sorrow and celebration. With an open heart and intuitive presence, Kristy helps her clients—individuals, couples, families, and caregivers—process pain, uncover meaning, and return to themselves more whole and more awake than before.
This sanctuary is her life’s offering. A place for you to land, to breathe, to heal… and to begin again.

The Musings of Kristy
Hypnotherapy at Corrales Grief Spa, near Albuquerque, is about returning to yourself. Many people arrive at hypnotherapy with at least one misconception—for example, that they will be made to surrender their will or fall into a helpless sleep. Kristy sets all of that aside. What she offers instead is something far more profound, and...
At Corrales Grief Spa, a wellness retreat in Corrales, New Mexico, Kristy has built an entire practice around the understanding that the body grieves on its own terms—and deserves healing on those terms, too. When someone tells you grief lives in the body, they are not speaking metaphorically. The tightness in the chest that...
At Corrales Grief Spa near Albuquerque, New Mexico, Reiki is a living, layered ceremony of energy, color, sound, and spirit. When most people think of Reiki, they picture a quiet room and gentle hands. What Kristy offers at Corrales Grief Spa, near Albuquerque, goes far deeper than that. She creates a multisensory healing journey...
“The heart surrenders everything to the moment. The mind judges and holds back.”
“Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you.”
“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”
“I tried to drown my sorrows, but the bastards learned how to swim.”
“Death is nothing to grieve about. It’s a natural part of life. It’s only the ego that thinks it’s an end.”
